D2E's Cheap Mixed Rice

I love taking new Indonesian students here. I cant understand why they keep on saying that food in Jakarta, or whatever certain part of Indonesia that they come from, is cheaper. That just baffles me. So in response to their statement, I would always bring them here...

the wet market of ss15

This is a really cool place. It's a 2 storey building, erected by MPSJ, i suppose. Opens around the beginning of 2007 (i guess). Before that, it was your normal wet market. Wearing slippers and shorts to buy groceries from the market. But this one is different. With the market on the ground floor, and a food court on top of it, it gives the place a very modern look, not to mention functionality.
Anyways, why we are here? for the cheapest mixed rice in my knowledge. some days, i just got to go back to my roots. rice. with some veggie, fried egg and fried chicken, with a splash of curry chicken. that is simple, nutritious food with deep satisfaction of a child biting into a huge chunk of brownie :) bad analogy, i know... but i'm still enchanted by nigella's brownie. anyone got a recipe to that? i would love to try them, now that i'm almost bored of baking cupcakes ;p

back to the main topic....
we are here to explore this one stall. always crowded during lunch time. unless u went there close to 3pm. then u will see this....

the 2.30pm condition...

where u will see line of people eating here, now you see the people who runs the shop. where u will see around 25+ kind of dishes, now you see less than 10. which in the end, turn up to be this...

no meat for today :(

that is quite a treat for me at RM2.30. Can u believe that price? 4 kinds of dishes with rice and my lunch costs me RM2.30 with RM0.20 chinese tea, lunch comes down to RM2.50. Cheaper than paying for 1 hour parking at KLIA ;p
Halfway through my lunch, the owner told me that he's just finished frying some chicken. At RM1 for a breast piece, having lunch here is definitely a good bargain during the 'old month' ^^

open hours:
11am - 2pm

i believe so...
the owner used to run the same mixed rice shop at the old market which used to be next to asia cafe.
the old market moved to a new location, just next to it... a new and bigger place :)
