1st posting :)

After a long dread to start my own food blog, i relented. and here i am to join the community of floggers, if the community wishes to accept me ;p lolz

anyways, this is my first post. found this place from other flog that i've been keen on reading.

the place is called FSF, Famous Seremban Favourites Restaurant. it's a rather tucked away place in sunway mas commercial center (tucked away or it is me who rarely go there? ;p) anyways, it didnt take long for us to get there. Been there once, so the area doesnt feel that distant to me.

to the point, this seems to be the best selling thing here. personal note, upon arrival, my meal company noticed that there seems to be quite a lot of aged people around. to me, that's a good sign of a good restaurant with homey feeling kind of food :D table setting is your normal kopitiam setting. plastic tables and plastic chairs.

the legendary charsiew and siewkai

what you see here is the post trauma product. we were dead starving when we get there that we almost completely forgot to take pictures of it. hence, the outcome. i hope you can still see the char-siew and siew-kai. the verdict? well, it's good. not the best char-siew i've had. nonetheless, it's good. with enough stickiness and good sauce. or gravy is more appropriate? anyways, i would rather get my char-siew fixes from meng kee :) closer to home. teehee hee...

hakka mee

good noodle, but somewhat lacks some substance to make it stand out. it's just an okay noodle.

char-siew wantan mee

it is quite good actually. perhaps, some of the best wantan mee i've tasted so far. they use the same charsiew for wantan mee and chicken rice tho :) i think that's what's famous here (and perhaps in seremban too ;p) and almost on every table, i see people ordering an extra plate of charsiew to go with whatever they're having, be it hakka mee or wanton mee. the hakka mee is supposed to be the best seller here. (pssttt... try having the hakka mee mixed with a lil bit sauce from wanton mee ;p tho that means you must order anutha portion of wanton mee, if you're eating alone. if not, let your spoon fly to your mate's plate instead)

one portion of charsiew, siew kai rice, wanton mee and hakka mee along with 3 drinks, the bill sums up to about 5rm per person for 3 person dining. decent price :) one thing worth mentioning is the ordering system. it seems the boss has taken it all up to himself to take the orders and billing, too. seems to me like it was too much to handle for him. not to mention that the restaurant was almost full house when we eat there on a saturday afternoon. so, be prepared to wait a while before he can actually come to take your orders :)

they are supposed to have good fishball too. never got the chance to try that. perhaps on 2nd visit? i will probably go there again. teeheehee. that is if i ever get the will up to drive there again. another thing to note, you can see that the char-siew here is utmostly famous. cause when you walk in, you can see strands of char-siew hanging at the front of the shop. must be their best-seller!!
